solitude

(in 1913, Wittgenstein decided to live for two years in Norway on his own to meditate and work on logic. Russell tried to dissuade him)

Russell: "It will be dark"
Wittgenstein: "I hate daylight"
Russell: "You'll be lonely"
Wittgenstein: "I prostitute my mind talking to intelligent people"
Russell: "You're mad"
Wittgenstein: "God preserve me from sanity"
Russell: "God certainly will!"
-Introducing Wittgenstein by Heaton and Groves-

marquez, masih adakah seratus tahun kesunyian untukku?

Peradaban yang riuh, hal yang dunia, hal yang manusia --dalam kebutuhannya akan ruang; fisik, psikologis, sosial dan terutama spiritual--.

Paul Tillich (di buku Eternal Now), pada bagian akhir bab Loneliness and Solitude, mengatakan : Let us dare to have solitude, to face the eternal, to find others, to see ourselves.

Yeah, untuk menemukan dan melihat diri kita sendiri, rangkaian hening yang berujung pada Tuhan.
